Die schottische Nationalbibliothek ist Schottlands wichtigste Forschungsbibliothek und hat weltweit das umfangreichste Inventar von Büchern, Druckwerken und Manuskripten zu schottischer Geschichte und Kultur. Zur Zeit befinden sich sieben Millionen gedruckte Werke, 120.000 Manuskripte und 1.6 Millionen Landkarten in der Bibliothek.Regelmäßige Ausstellungen und Veranstaltungen.Kleiner Laden.
Opening Times
Reading rooms open all year, Monday to Friday 10am – 8pm, Saturdays 10am – 12.30pm. Exhibition Hall open June to October only, Monday to Saturday 10.00am - 5.00pm, Sunday 2pm – 5pm. Shop open all year, Moday to Friday 10am – 8.15pm, Saturdays 9.30am – 12.45pm.
