The Royal Yacht Britannia is permanently moored in Edinburgh's historic port of Leith, only 2 miles from the city centre. The experience begins in the Visitor Centre, where visitors can view The Royal Family Picture Gallery and learn about life on board for Officers and Yachtsmen. Then, with the aid of an audio handset, visitors step on board and tour the five decks including the Bridge, State Dining Room and Drawing Room, Queen's and Duke of Edinburgh's Bedrooms, the Engine Room, the Officers' Cabins' and the Galleys.
