This large romantic Victorian walled garden is designed around the Cambo burn with weeping willows, waterfall and rose-clad wrought-iron bridges. Naturalistic plantings of rare and interesting herbaceous perennials add to the informal atmosphere of the garden. There are masses of spectacular spring bulbs, a lilac walk with 26 cultivars, over 250 old fashioned and rambling roses and glowing September borders.
Outwith the walled garden a woodland garden includes a September meadow of colchicums and 70 acres of woodland walks leading to the sea are carpeted with snowdrops, snowflakes and aconites in February/March - also over 160 varieties specialist snowdrops.
An all seasons plantsman's paradise.
